Shah Rukh Khan will perform at the prestigious awards show after nine years
In a dazzling kick-off meet, ZEE made an exciting announcement about Maruti Suzuki Arena Presents 22nd Zee Cine Awards 2024, promising a night of glamour and celebration of Bollywood’s finest achievements. The upcoming edition comes after a year that saw record-breaking blockbusters and resounding chants of ‘cinema zindabad’ across movie theatres. Cinema buffs who wish to experience the thrill of watching their favourite stars perform live, can buy their passes via BookMyShow and head to the Dome, NSCI Worli (Mumbai) on March 10.
Bollywood’s reigning ‘Rani’ — Alia Bhatt — alongside Maruti Suzuki India and ZEE officials, unveiled the sleek trophy while actors Bobby Deol, Mouni Roy and Aparshakti Khurana shared exciting sneak peeks into the upcoming awards. The show boasts an exciting line-up of performances by Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, Bobby Deol, Mouni Roy, Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur, among others, and will be hosted by Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana, with Sunil Grover taking over for a few fun segments. Excitement went through the roof when it was revealed that megastar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to perform at Zee Cine Awards after nine long years.
Bhatt says, “I always look forward to performing live on stage! Last year’s performance at Zee Cine Awards was one of my most memorable acts. I’m even more excited to be performing for the second year in a row. It’ll again be a very special act and truly dedicated to my audiences.”
Deol, who recently wowed one and all with his performance in Animal (2023), shares, “Brace yourselves for a night of excitement, as Abrar will have everyone dancing to Jamal Kudu and some delightful surprises.”
