Actor Sriya Reddy was “not a fan” of American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, but says she is now “a Swiftie for life” ever since she attended a concert in Singapore and experienced Swift’s music live.

From the thrill of anticipation to the electrifying performance and the fan frenzy at the concert, Reddy explains that her concert experience changed her view of the singer.

“A bunch of my friends in Chennai were planning this for a very long time. I was not a Swiftie (the term for loyal fans of the musician). I loved her music but was not a fan. But I agreed to go. Watching her perform was something. It changed the way I look at her,” says Reddy.

Now, the Salaar (2023) actor proudly calls herself a Swiftie. “I have been to several concerts before. But nothing tops Taylor Swift. She inspires women across ages for the right reasons. Girls look up to her. Seeing her stance, her strength, how she owns the stage blew me over. The relationship with her team and her fans…I was not a Swiftie, but now I am one for life. That experience will stay with me forever,” she ends.

Talking further about the concert, the actor shares, “The experience was mindblowing. The attention to detail was fantastic. Seeing her perform with that energy, which was constant throughout, with only a few minutes break was just breathtaking.”

“Apart from the songs, the thought behind what she created is so important. She talked about how she used to spend time in Singapore with her grandmother. Everything had a backstory. The vibe of the crowd was magical,” she ends.
