Holi will be all about reliving my wedding: Surbhi Chandna
The actor, who got married earlier this month, plans to catch up with her family over the festival and pore over shaadi pics and videos
Actor Surbhi Chandna, who tied the knot with her long-time entrepreneurboyfriend Karan Sharma earlier this month, is all geared up for her first post-wedding Holi celebration, and she’s quite excited about the same. Talking about her Holi plans, Chandna shares how she hasn’t been enthusiastic about playing Holi in the past. However, this year holds special significance for her. “Since I am scared of Holi colours, usually, we are not so big on celebrating the festival. But this is our first festival as a married couple and I want it to be special,” she tells us.
The couple, who kicked off their celebration with a Holika Dahan puja, is also looking forward to inviting people in their house. “We have been hosting people for the past 13 years and this year we have planned a potluck party,” adds Chandna. The 34-year-old also sees Holi as the perfect chance for both families to come together and reminisce about the wedding. “I have not been able to spend time with both families ever since we got married. Now, we plan to catch up on Holi and talk about the wedding functions — especially what we missed about the wedding when we were getting ready,” she shares and continues, “I am also planning to soak in the love that the pictures have got on social media. So, this year, Holi will be all about wedding review, reliving those moments, and good food. I am looking forward to it.” The actor adds that she will also try to “squeeze in some time to respond to the congratulatory messages.” Talking about her newly married life so far, she shares, “I have been experimenting with cooking since we moved into a new house together. Recently, I’ve also learnt how to make Punjabi-style aloo puri, which we will be serving during the celebration.”
