Last year, Khan marked his 53rd birthday on August 16 by unveiling the poster from his upcoming movie Devara. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film will also feature actors Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. It is set for theatrical release on April 5, this year.

Kapoor’s foray into Telugu cinema alongside actor Jr NTR in Devara has sparked considerab­le interest. Additional­ly, she has reportedly been chosen as the leading heroine for Ram Charan-starrer RC16. Kapoor, in a conversati­on with The Week, expressed remorse for not having learned Telugu earlier, but commended the patience of the Devara team in assisting her with the lines. “I never learned Telugu and it is something I am ashamed of,” she shared, adding, “I can understand it phonetical­ly, but I can’t speak it. I am so grateful they (Devara team) are just a call away to help me with my lines.”

Disha Patani in Kanguva

Patani seems to be in experiment mode as she has not one but two upcoming regional projects in her kitty. The actor is set to make her Tamil film debut with director Siva’s period drama, Kanguva, opposite veteran actor Suriya. The film Kanguva is a fantasy action adventure that spans multiple time periods.

Sunny Hinduja in Hello Mummy

The actor, known for his roles in The Railway Men and Aspirants, is set to debut in South cinema with the Malayalam film, Hello Mummy. As per reports, he is likely to play an exorcist in this upcoming film.

Bobby Deol in Kanguva

The actor’s long-awaited South debut in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, opposite actor Pawan Kalyan, is set to be followed by his role as the main villain in director Siva’s Kanguva. Recently, the Kanguva team also revealed Deol’s first look, where he was seen wearing a crown of antlers.

Shanaya Kapoor in Vrushabha

Last year, Kapoor was announced as a part of the cast of Vrushabha alongside actor Mohanlal. The film, which is primarily shot in Telugu and Malayalam, is touted to be a South Indian film with a pan-Indian release. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film will also feature actors Garuda Ram and Srikanth Meka.

Jamie Lever in Aa Okatti Adakku

The actor-comedian will be making her South debut with the Telugu film Aa Okatti Adakku. The debut will be a “dream come true” for Lever who has a strong connection to the language. “This film is not just a profession­al journey for me, it’s a personal homage to my roots. Telugu is my mother tongue, and performing in it is a heartfelt tribute to my grandmothe­r,” she told ANI earlier this year.
