The Rising Bharat Summit 2024 saw leaders from various fields convene at New Delhi’s Taj Palace on March 19 and 20. Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the keynote, outlining the nation’s next 25 years and expressing confidence in returning to power. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s optimism in securing victory in the upcoming general elections echoed in the remarks of Home Minister Amit Shah, Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Anurag Thakur, Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Informatio­n and Broadcasti­ng, GoI.

Union Minister Smriti Irani hailed India’s global role in supplying COVID-19 vaccines globally. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar praised the citizens’ role in hosting the G20 summit and showing the country to the world. Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and political scientist John J Mearsheime­r spoke about India’s meteoric rise amidst heightened geopolitic­al tensions. Domestic entreprene­urs such as Harsh Jain, Ritesh Agarwal, Virender Gupta and Upasana Taku stressed on the crucial contributi­on of India’s tier 2 and 3 cities in its startup ecosystem. Global CEO, Visa Inc, Ryan McInerney, lauded UPI for accelerati­ng financial inclusion by more than a decade. The summit was also attended by SEBI chairperso­n, Madhabi Puri Buch, along with other notable figures of the financial market, who suggested a bullish trend driven by the growth of the middle class.

Several well-known content creators attended the event along with actors such as Sidharth Malhotra and Alizeh Agnihotri. Musicians Shankar Mahadevan and Rakesh Chaurasia, among others, talked about the prestigiou­s position of Indian music on the global stage. Former cricketers Brett Lee and AB De Villiers spoke about the dominance of IPL in the global sporting arena.

Lawyer-activist J Sai Deepak and politician Ram Madhav were among other eminent personalit­ies who attended the summit. The Rising Bharat Summit was a resounding success, showcasing India’s incredible potential in various fields, as in its rich diversity and cultural capital.
