SHOTS FIRED IN POSSIBLE ATTACK ON SALMAN
In a shocking incident, two unidentified bikers fired four rounds outside Galaxy Apartments, actor Salman Khan’s house in Bandra, Mumbai on early Sunday morning. ANI reported that the actor was at home at the time of the incident. The police has beefed up security around his residence and launched a search for the accused based on footage from CCTV cameras installed near his house.
Local police, crime branch personnel and a team of forensic experts reached the spot to collect evidence and started a probe into the incident, according to a police official. In March 2023, Salman received an e-mail threat, after which Mumbai Police registered an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar and another person for criminal conspiracy, criminal intimidation and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. The actor was then granted Y+ security.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde spoke to Khan on Sunday, and after a discussion with the Mumbai Police Commissioner, suggested further increasing Khan’s security. Politician Rahul Kanal, who reached Khan’s residence to check on him, told the paps present, “Bas dua hai upar wale ki, all good. Bhai ko kuchh farak nahin padhta.”
