‘Ban entry of Tytler and Gill in Olympics’

HT Ludhiana Live - - In & Around - FATEHGARH SAHIB:

All India Sikhs Students Federation (AISSF) and Sikhs for Justice (SJF) have urged the British government to not allow Congress leader Jagdish Tytler and former (DGP KPS Gill into England.

Both of them are scheduled to visit London for the Olympics.

Chronicling the details of human rights violations by them, AISSF and SJF have submitted a memorandum to Sir James Bevan, the British high commissioner to India.

It states that Tytler and Gill were responsible for orchestrating genocidal attacks and extra judicial killings of Sikhs during 1984-98 in which more than one lakh Sikhs were killed.

Citing the asylums granted by the United Kingdom to thousands of Sikh victims of torture, the memorandum reminded the British government that allegations of human rights violations against Tytler and Gill have already been acknowledged and accepted by UK, European Union countries, Canada and US. Aissfpresident Karnail Singh Peermohammad said the federation will lobby with the British government to deny entry to Tytler and Gill.
