Cy­ber­star In­fotech, Learn­ing Cen­tre of Pun­jab Te c h n i c a l Uni v e r s i t y Ja­land­har, un­der dis­tance ed­u­ca­tion pro­gramme, or­gan­ised a pro­gram­ming ta­lent hunt com­pe­ti­tion on its cam­pus at Sun­der Na­gar, on Wed­nes­day.

Cy­bers t a r Info t e c h , Learn­ing Cen­tre direc­tor Umesh Sharma said such com­pe­ti­tions helped bring out pro­gram­ming ta­lent among stu­dents, who af­ter get­ting higher-level train­ing be­came pro­gram­ming gems and got placed in IT com­pa­nies.

The com­pe­ti­tion com­prised three rounds to short­list the best per­form­ers.

The win­ners were awarded free train­ings on lat­est tech­nolo­gies ( worth Rs 25,000 ap­prox­i­mately), free per­son­al­ity de­vel­op­ment and in­ter­view prepa­ra­tion work­shop (worth Rs 7,500); place­ment as­sis­tance in top IT com­pa­nies and op­por­tu­nity to work on live projects.
