A to­tal of 104 stu­dents re­ceived of­fer let­ters at the CGI Job Fest or­gan­ised by Con­ti­nen­tal Group of In­sti­tu­tions (CGIS), Jalvehra here.

CGI au­thor­i­ties said lead­ing com­pa­nies such as HCL, Re­liance Life, Neon Lab­o­ra­to­ries Lim­ited, Solitare, Eureka Forbes and In­tel­lisense par­tic­i­pated in the joint cam­pus re­cruit­ment drive, where com­pa­nies of­fered a pack­age rang­ing from Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs 3.21 lakh per an­num.

They added that the stu­dents were of­fered po­si­tions such as that of as­sis­tant man­agers, man­agers, med­i­cal rep­re­sen­ta­tives, soft­ware de­vel­op­ers, web­site de­vel­op­ers and pro­gram­mers. Stu­dents from nearby in­sti­tutes, around 800 of had par­tic­i­pated in the drive.

Ex­ec­u­tive direc­tor of the in­sti­tu­tions Ma­jor Gen­eral BPS Grewal said such events are part of col­lege ac­tiv­i­ties and place­ment ac­tiv­i­ties would take place ev­ery week.
