IMG Reliance Punjab Schools Basketball League begins
The four- day IMG Reliance Punjab Schools Basketball League that was inaugurated by Ludhiana commissioner of police Ishar Singh on Friday evening at Guru Nanak Stadium Basketball Complex saw participation of 12 boys’ and eight girls’ teams on Saturday.
The tournament is being conducted on the league-cum-super league system. The 12 boys’ teams are grouped into three groups with four teams each and eight girls’ teams are also divided into two groups.
Initially the teams would play the round-robin league in their own group and top teams from each group would qualify for the super-league.
In the boys’ section six teams would play in the super league and in girls’ section four teams would play in the super league. ALPINE SCHOOL BAGS TT CHAMPIONSHIP
The Alpine International Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana won the CBSE Cluster XVI table tennis championship in U-14 boys’ category, which concluded on Saturday. In U-14 girls’ category Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Amritsar, won the championship by defeating DAV School, Amritsar.
