IMG Re­liance Pun­jab Schools Bas­ket­ball League be­gins

The four- day IMG Re­liance Pun­jab Schools Bas­ket­ball League that was in­au­gu­rated by Lud­hi­ana com­mis­sioner of po­lice Ishar Singh on Fri­day evening at Guru Nanak Sta­dium Bas­ket­ball Com­plex saw par­tic­i­pa­tion of 12 boys’ and eight girls’ teams on Satur­day.

The tour­na­ment is be­ing con­ducted on the league-cum-su­per league sys­tem. The 12 boys’ teams are grouped into three groups with four teams each and eight girls’ teams are also di­vided into two groups.

Ini­tially the teams would play the round-robin league in their own group and top teams from each group would qual­ify for the su­per-league.

In the boys’ sec­tion six teams would play in the su­per league and in girls’ sec­tion four teams would play in the su­per league. ALPINE SCHOOL BAGS TT CHAM­PI­ONSHIP

The Alpine In­ter­na­tional Se­nior Sec­ondary School, Lud­hi­ana won the CBSE Clus­ter XVI ta­ble tennis cham­pi­onship in U-14 boys’ cat­e­gory, which con­cluded on Satur­day. In U-14 girls’ cat­e­gory Sri Guru Harkr­is­han Pub­lic School, Am­rit­sar, won the cham­pi­onship by de­feat­ing DAV School, Am­rit­sar.
