Disabled schoolchildren are second to none: expert
Programme is conducted every year with an aim to motivate disabled children
To motivate the disabled students of Ludhiana- II block, the government primary school, Kucha Number 16, Field Ganj, Ludhiana, organised a sports and cultural programme on Tuesday.
Resource person of disabled students, Ritu Attri, said nearly 50 students have participated in the event.
Students of all categories, including mentally challenged, physically disabled, hearing and speech impaired and others, participated in various events, she added.
She said these students were not less than anyone and the programme was conducted every year with an aim to motivate them.
Navjeet Singh won first prize in short put, while Rahul bagged second prize. They had also won gold and silver medals, respectively, at a state-level event, which was held last year in Sangrur. In fancy-dress competition, Manjit and Gurpreet bagged first prize, Navjot got second prize and Pushpa was third.Sagar performed on bringing awareness about female foeticide.
While Neha, Julie and Anjali, presented giddha on the occasion. Rajinder Kumar recited mahamrityunjaya mantra.
