Sem­i­nar on English or­gan­ised

On the very first day of new ses­sion of government schools, an English lan­guage sem­i­nar was or­gan­ised at Government Mid­dle School, Malakpur Bet and Government Mid­dle School, Slamepur on Tues­day.

Aman­deep Singh, district re­source per­son un­der the English project con­ducted the sem­i­nar. Teach­ers and stu­dents of Class 6 to 8 from both schools at­tended the sem­i­nar. Sem­i­nar aimed at mo­ti­vat­ing stu­dents about the use of English in their life and mak­ing them aware about the im­por­tance of English lan­guage.

Singh said English lan­guage was the success for­mula in ev­ery sphere of life. He shared some tips with stu­dents on how to im­prove their com­mand over the lan­guage. He said this sem­i­nar was a part of English project be­ing run in all up­per pri­mary schools of Pun­jab un­der the guid­ance of Ginni Dug­gal, as­sis­tant state project di­rec­tor, english project.

He sug­gested English ac­tiv­ity book ‘Cor­nu­copia’ to the teach­ers to make their teach­ing ac­tiv­ity-based. He said this book had al­ready been pub­lished un­der the guid­ance of Ginni Dug­gal and Kan­waldeep Singh Sohi and was be­ing dis­trib­uted to the schools all over Pun­jab.
