Ho­tel Amal­tas and restau­rant Oa­sis lo­cated on the GT road will be devel­oped by the government in col­lab­o­ra­tion with pri­vate play­ers.

Min­is­ter for jail and tourism Sar­wan Singh Phillaur said this here on Thurs­day, while speak­ing at a meet­ing held at the war mu­seum on Jalandhar by­pass road.

He said: “Mem­o­ries of the war of 1962, 1965 and war of Pa­ni­pat were pre­served at the mu­seum and peo­ple visit the place in large num­bers.” He said the arms and am­mu­ni­tion of th­ese wars in­clud­ing tanks were also kept at the mu­seum.

Prin­ci­pal sec­re­tary (tourism de­part­ment), Geetika Kalla, de­fence af­fairs prin­ci­pal sec­re­tary, Vish­wa­jit Khanna, district for­est of­fi­cer Daljit Singh Brar and man­ager of the war mu­seum Tar­lochan Singh among oth­ers were present dur­ing the meet­ing.

Lud­hi­ana: The CIA staff of Lud­hi­ana po­lice com­mis­sion­er­ate ar­rested the king­pin of in­fa­mous Chetan gang on Wed­nes­day and re­cov­ered 300gm nar­cotic pow­der from his pos­ses­sion, be­sides a gold chain that he had snatched from a woman a few days ago.

The ac­cused was wanted in over one dozen cases of snatch­ing and loot.

The ac­cused has been iden­ti­fied as Ar­jun alias Chetan of Ta­jpur road. His brother San­jay alias Su­mit and broth­erin-law Tuhiyan have are still ab­scond­ing.

ASI Lakhbir Singh of CIA staff said the po­lice ar­rested the ac­cused from Jawa­har Na­gar camp on Wed­nes­day evening. The ASI said the ac­cused had been de­clared pro­claimed of­fender in sev­eral cases.

He said an­other case of pos­sess­ing nar­cotic pow­der has been reg­is­tered against him in the di­vi­sion num­ber 5 po­lice sta­tion.
