We have managed to curtail crime to a large extent in Ludhiana as is evident from comparative data for different crimes in the last three years.

For every form of crime, the incident has gone down. Most importantly, Ludhiana being an industrial town, it has become a safer place as industrial thefts have come down to negligible.

The traffic wing has been active in providing relief to the people from jams and bottlenecks. The manpower is limited to 4,400 personnel, out of which 1,000 are trainees, but every cop is working with dedication. A lot has been done in the grievance redressal cells under all four zones, operational under the additional deputy commissioners of police (ADCPs).
