Tell us about In­fobahn and its jour­ney from in­cep­tion till date?

In­fobahn is a tech­nol­ogy ser­vice provider and an IT sys­tems in­te­gra­tor. We have been pro­vid­ing these so­lu­tions since last 18 years, to cus­tomers across In­dia in var­i­ous ver­ti­cals in­clud­ing Retail, Man­u­fac­tur­ing and IT/ITES to name a few.

Tell us about In­fobahn’s focus on the retail in­dus­try?

In­fobahn pro­vides IT so­lu­tions to the Retail In­dus­try around retail point of sale prod­ucts and dig­i­tal sig­nage sys­tems. These so­lu­tions can be ei­ther turnkey or be­spoke. In­fobahn has de­vel­oped pro­cesses, skills and partnerships to be able to de­ploy these so­lu­tions across the coun­try. We have worked suc­cess­fully with a num­ber of retail ma­jors to pro­vide them with these so­lu­tions.

What was In­fobahn’s phi­los­o­phy be­hind part­ner­ing with HP for the Elitepos retail sys­tem?

POS sys­tems are an im­por­tant com­po­nent of the IT eco-sys­tem at a retail store. Since HP Elitepos is one of the best prod­ucts in the mar­ket, we de­cided to part­ner them, since we were keen to pro­vide our retail cus­tomers with the Elitepos and pro­mote the prod­uct.

What are your ex­pan­sion plans? Tell us about adding new features to the ex­ist­ing Elitepos and adding new prod­ucts to the line.

We will con­tinue to evolve along with the in­dus­try and add newer tech­nolo­gies like de­mog­ra­phy based dig­i­tal sig­nage sys­tems, mo­bil­ity so­lu­tions to lever­age the ever grow­ing mo­bile de­vice and tablets. We are keep­ing a close watch on, and learn­ing tech­nolo­gies like IOT, Ma­chine Learn­ing and AI. We will in­tro­duce so­lu­tions around these as the tech­nolo­gies ma­ture.

Tell us about the features of Elitepos. What are the key re­quire­ment of re­tail­ers that it will meet?

With se­cu­rity, dura­bil­ity and ćex­i­bil­ity built into a gor­geous de­sign, HP Elite POS meets the de­mand of a busi­ness and marks a new era in retail. A de­vice which is not only beau­ti­ful but re­tail­hard­ened, it’s de­signed to pass MIL-STD 810G with a sturdy an­odized alu­minum chas­sis that re­sist spills by chan­nel­ing liq­uid away from the screen. The HP Elite POS sys­tem is ready for duty with 7th gen­er­a­tion In­tel pro­ces­sor, efć­cient M.2 Stor­age, fast DDR 4 mem­ory, Wire­less LAN and Bluetooth, an in­te­grated SD card reader sup­ports easy backup, de­ploy­ment and ser­vic­ing.

Elitepos is ideal for hos­pi­tal­ity, ap­parel stores, su­per­mar­ket, spe­cialty stores and malls. It is also widely used as self­ser­vice kiosk across the in­dus­try.

How im­por­tant is after sales sup­port as a dif­fer­en­tia­tor for the POS in­dus­try?

Ser­vices is a key dif­fer­en­tia­tor in the crowded IT so­lu­tions space. We un­der­stand the fact that our cus­tomers need to be able to ser­vice their own cus­tomers with the best pos­si­ble buy­ing ex­pe­ri­ence. We work to­wards achiev­ing this goal by ar­chi­tect­ing the right so­lu­tions and pro­vid­ing the right prod­ucts to our Cus­tomers. We focus on quick turn­around on post sales ser­vices de­liv­ery and we have a help desk ded­i­cated to the retail Cus­tomers for a faster turn­around. We also train our peo­ple reg­u­larly to help them un­der­stand and keep cus­tomer re­quire­ments in mind. HP Elitepos is durable, pow­er­ful and built for the day ahead. The sys­tem has a 5-year life­cy­cle and 3-year stan­dard lim­ited war­ranty which can be up­graded to 5 years peace of mind with op­tional HP Care Ser­vices. Cus­tomers also get ex­tra pro­tec­tion with au­to­matic up­dates and se­cu­rity checks from the HP Bio­sphere Gen3 Con­trol ap­pli­ca­tion and sys­tem ac­cess with De­vice Guard, Cre­den­tial Guard and an op­tional Ćnger­print reader. All these – backed by HP Sup­port net­work – be­come an ex­cel­lent value propo­si­tion for cus­tomers.

We are also amongst the largest part­ners in In­dia for HP Inc for client de­vices in­clud­ing RPOS, me­dia play­ers, lap­tops, desk­tops, thin clients and more; Sam­sung and LG for LFD; and HP En­ter­prise for dat­a­cen­ter so­lu­tions.

Where are you cur­rently based and which ge­ogra­phies do you serve in In­dia? Has GST been an en­abler for In­fobahn for this of­fer­ing?

We are based in Mumbai and ser­vice cus­tomers across the coun­try. GST has been a great en­abler for us as a com­pany since it has al­lowed us to seam­lessly sup­ply and de­liver ma­te­rial and ser­vices across all states as one mar­ket.
