AstraZeneca will invest $90 million (around Rs 590 crore) in

India over the next five years. The investment by the pharmaceutical company is a part of a bilateral innovation partnership signed between Sweden and India for a sustainable future. According to AstraZeneca, this investment commitment across its business footprint in India will make a positive impact. It will also align closely with the government's vision for healthcare and innovation. The investment commitment will be aimed at strengthening manufacturing, clinical operations, patient safety and regulatory science, IT services and commercial operations.
