Vivo to invest Rs 200 cr to expand plant
Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has announced expansion of its manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar
Pradesh, and invested about Rs 200 crore. Vivo has said that it has already invested about Rs 300 crore in the plant and added surfacemount technology (SMT) lines to the unit. The facility has increased production to more than 20 lakh units per month, reiterating Vivo's commitment to the government's Make In India initiative. The newly-added SMT lines will cater to the growing demand for Vivo smartphones in the country, including flagship devices like NEX and X21, the telecom company has said in a statement.
