Nissan chief Ghosn arrested
Carlos Ghosn, the former chairman of Nissan, was sacked from the board of directors after his company accused him of "significant acts of misconduct". Mr Ghosn had also been arrested after being questioned by Japanese prosecutors for various improprieties. In a statement, Nissan said that it had been conducting a probe into Mr Ghosn for several months after receiving a whistleblower report. "The investigation showed that over many years, Mr Ghosn and Representative Director Greg Kelly under-reported their compensation packages and were involved in numerous other significant acts of misconduct, such as personal use of company assets," the statement has added.
