Netflix woos subscribers with video games
Netflix reported its worst slowdown in subscribers’ growth in eight years last month as people emerge from their pandemic cocoons. So the video-streaming company is adding a new attraction to its portfolio: Video games. Neflix said last month that it would offer video games in its existing subscription plans at no extra cost. But the company did not say when that service will be launched or what kind of games it will be developing. Netflix’s Chief Product Officer Greg Peters has said that the company will initially focus on mobile games before eventually expanding to consoles and TV sets.
