Rise in Indian tourists visiting France: Envoy

France tops the list of European destinations for Indian tourists, with the number of travellers from this country likely to have crossed 800,000 in 2018, French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler has said. He said over 700,000 Indian tourists visited France in 2017, twice the number as compared to 2014.

Noticing a “striking upsurge”, Ziegler said it demonstrates that France is ever growing in popularity and that the country is “now the number 1 European destination for Indian tourists”.
