Established in 2011, Galgotias University has already made it to the league of top private universities, within six years of its inception. The university’s 120 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, MPhil and doctoral programmes are sought after by students. And their engineering programmes like computer science, mechanical and civil are highly popular. Courses in architecture, forensic science, hospitality and law also attract thousands of students every year. The R&D centre of the university is one of the highlights. “Galgotias University’s R&D potential is well recognised by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Government of India. Recently, the university was given a grant to set up a state-of-the-art nanotechnology lab to conduct research on self-assembly of semiconductor nanostructures for sensing applications,” says Dr Renu Luthra, pro-vice-chancellor.
