Nature's Bounty

- KAMA AYURVEDA

Little did we know that going back to roots was not only going to make us prettier and healthier, but also something that would make the world follow us. Perhaps Vivek Sahni understood this and created a brand revolving around Ayurveda—Kama Ayurveda. "The idea of launching an Ayurvedic brand came after working for two years on a project with the government for Khadi and Village Industries Commission. I was asked to design gift packaging for the Khadi Village Industries and it ended up becoming a two-year project where I created a range of products, worked with manufacturers, and helped train people to source the best products. Finally, we opened a store at Lok Nayak Bhawan, Delhi, and the project was a success," says Sahni. In the course of these two years, Sahni gained knowledge about natural cosmetic products. Armed with this, he and his partners Rajshree Pathy, Vikram Goyal and Dave Chang, Sahni founded Kama Ayurveda in 2002. Known for its iconic all-natural beauty products and treatments such as Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment and Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid, Kama Ayurveda has acquired a cult following in the country and internationally.
