Know how to keep your feet in good health
Our feet carry the weight of the body every day but we usually tend to ignore that till there is a corn, callosity, fungal infection or some discomfort associated with them that surfaces. To make sure that you stay comfortable, pain and infection free, cultivate these maintenance habits, on a regular basis.
Have a medical pedicure once a month
It heals the feet by taking away dead skin, removing corns, callosities, and warts through the use of foot burrs and gentle machines utilising emu oil. The feet can breathe easy and you can walk with effortlessly. The medical pedicure is different from a regular pedicure because it is dry and does not cause fungal infections, but only treats them. It is also useful for people with hyperkeratotic foot problems—thickening of the skin’s outer layer. However, these must be done by a specialist who is trained in podiatry. Regular water pedicures are often responsible for causing fungal infections because the whirlpool can harbour fungus for a longer duration of time.
Do foot reflexology every night before bedtime
It heals the feet through stimulation of pressure points in the sole and helps to relieve pain, tension and circulation throughout the body. These areas and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems and pressing them will have a beneficial effect on the overall health.
Walk barefoot for a few minutes every day
One of the more obvious benefits of walking barefoot is that we have a connection to the earth and its magnetic field. It has been proved theoretically that our body is conductive to the earth and vice versa. The earth is full of negative ions and we flood our body with these ions by walking barefoot which we need. It improves the quality of our sleep. Walking barefoot also stimulates the nerves and pressure points on the bottom of the foot which can help to bring chi energy. It also improves our overall posture.
Wear comfortable shoes all the time
Limit the use of very high heels and leave your feet well-ventilated often. Keep your feet free of closed shoes because moist environments harbour bacteria, fungus, and sweaty smell.
