Sunaina Agarwal, 39, and Priti Agarwalla, 40, became friends through their daughters. But they had more in common than that— above all, a keen sense of design and aesthetics. They were known for the creative birthday parties they organised for their children. It was time they took their prowess to the public.
In 2010, the two got together and launched their company Little Dos— dedicated to planning and designing birthday parties for children. Soon, they graduated to
organising bigger events including engagement parties, anniversaries and baby showers. Two years ago, they ventured into the couture wedding scene, rechristening their company as Desi Lantern.
Transforming Spaces Known for their inimitable artistic sensibility and design aesthetics, Agarwal and Agarwalla pool in their creative resources to transform innocuous spaces into magical settings. Their striking installations painstakingly crafted with quirky objects— old doors and windows, clay planters, truck tyres, mason jars and wooden stools— are veritable conversation pieces at the weddings they design.
"We also have our own line of luxury wedding furniture that is available on rent. It has everything from regal couches and loungers to classy chiavari chairs and transparent acrylic chairs. Even the linen is customised for every wedding,” says Agarwal.
