Ker­ala chief min­is­ter Pi­narayi Vi­jayan hates half-baked pro­pos­als, a fact many bu­reau­crats have al­ready learnt the hard way. Re­cently, a prom­i­nent Thiru­vanan­tha­pu­ram­based ar­chi­tect was at the re­ceiv­ing end of the CM’s ire. He pre­sented a de­sign for a pro­posed mu­seum to house the price­less Pad­man­ab­haswamy tem­ple trea­sures, but had com­pletely omit­ted the most im­por­tant part—its se­cu­rity fea­tures. He was grilled for this omis­sion by the chief min­is­ter.
