Founded in 2012 by Puneet Chawla, 34, Shilpa Sharma, 51, and Arti Jesrani, with a vision of presenting the best kept secrets of Indian craft in contemporary iterations to the global audience, e-commerce brand Jaypore has now made its foray in retail with the launch of its first ever store in the city. Spread across 1,400 sqft and two levels, the Jaypore store takes forward the brand’s core aesthetic of bringing Indian design heritage into limelight. An intricate rattan jaali facade, reminiscent of palaces of Jaipur sets the backdrop of soothing white interiors, punctuated with rustic wood accents and criss-cross play of natural light.

The Collection From contemporary apparel to one-of-a-kind craft collectibles, vintage silver jewellery and folk accessories, there is something for every Indian fashion and design lover at this store. “Our products are a curated mix—of Indian designers, social and craft initiatives that work with handloom and that of hand-crafted wonders. In addition to this, we also produce contemporary apparel using traditional, handwoven fabric and textile embellishment techniques such as dabu resist-dyeing, fadat prints, leheriya, Bagru and Sanganeri block-printing, natural dyes like indigo and handpainting techniques like kalamkari,” says co-founder Puneet Chawla.

The Season's Special In store currently is one of their key collections of the season, a Chintz-inspired range of Indian and fusion wear in soothing whites, pastels and delicate chintz prints—elegant and effortless for the sweltering months ahead. You can also shop for khadis and linens, organic dyes and summer friendly block prints, pastels and pop accents this summer.
