Design meets art and food at Beyond Designs’ new flagship store in Delhi

Here’s the truth about flair. Either you have it or you don’t. Eighteen years ago husband-wife duo Sachin and Neha Gupta proved they have plenty of it when they launched furniture and lifestyle studio Beyond Designs. Since then they have become synonymous with balancing drama, modern design and traditional aesthetics with élan. A carved stone yantra on a sleek metal pedestal, Art Deco sofas in classic Indian hues, art works from across the globe in all shapes and sizes with carefully thoughtout frames and theatrical lights for every room, stand testimony to their design semantic. With the launch of their 8,000 sq ft new flagship store on Delhi’s MG Road, once again the duo has proved that design can be larger than life. From the grand entrance to the mock living spaces inside to the cafe, this is visual opulence at its best.

Sachin is the principal designer and Neha is the chief of operations. The new flagship also marks the launch of an accessory brand, Beyond Designs Home and a cafe called Café We, in partnership with Varun Gupta, who has a background in hospitality. The cement floor and ceiling gives the showroom an industrial-chic look and this neutral backdrop makes the designs pop. The formal living room, dining room, bar lounge, bedroom and bathrooms, along with a home office give you plenty of ideas to steal.
