At a re­cent strat­egy meet­ing in Imphal that BJP pres­i­dent Amit Shah had called to dis­cuss pre-poll al­liances for the 2019 elec­tions in Arunachal Pradesh, Union MoS for home and one of the state’s two MPs, Kiren Ri­jiju, said the party should go it alone. Shah, how­ever, noted that Megha­laya chief min­is­ter Con­rad Sangma’s Na­tional Peo­ple’s Party was a for­mi­da­ble force. When it comes to elec­toral math, no state is too small for Shah’s at­ten­tion.
