Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech is being seen as one that will sound the party’s bugle for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. On this day, the party will also unveil the sequel to the popular ‘Chai pe Charcha’ 2014 campaign spin. ‘Tiffin par Charcha’ will see groups of BJP workers visiting the homes of the poor and socially backward with homecooked food. The pilot project is slated for... where else but the PM’s home constituency Varanasi where 50 workers will discuss government welfare schemes over prepacked food brought from their homes. The response in Varanasi will be monitored by the party before it is rolled out across the country. Now it’s only a question of getting the recipe right.
