Spend this Independen­ce Day eating for a good cause. The Bombay Canteen has a special dawaat of regional delicacies from across India served on a banana leaf in a community-style dining experience inspired by recipes shared by celebritie­s. Dig into a Bohri kheema made with a recipe by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, a Gujarati dish by stand-up comedian Rohan Joshi and a Rajasthani recipe from industrial­ist Harsh Goenka’s home kitchen. The proceeds from this lunch will go to the Miracle Foundation. The meal has no fixed prices and guests are free to donate what they want to.
