WOMEN VOTERS outnumber men in 11 of Telangana’s 31 districts and the sex ratio in the state stands at 988 (women for every 1,000 men as per Census

2011). And despite constantly promising 33 per cent reservation for womenfolk, all the political parties together haven’t hosted 33 women candidates. BJP leads the pack with 14 female nominees, followed by 11 of the Congress. The ruling TRS is hosting four women, while the TDP has just one woman candidate!
