In Madhya Pradesh, state government postings are being determined by one question—is the officer influenced by the BJP? If found to be close to BJP bureaucrats in the past, officers are likely sidelined. However, since most top bureaucrats at some point were close to the BJP, in power for 15 years, the present government is having a tough time finding those unpopular with the BJP.
