Former Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who lost the 2019 Lok Sabha poll from Gwalior, is moving out of his 27, Safdarjung Road residence. The house was allotted to his father, the late Madhavrao Scindia, in 1984, after he defeated the BJP’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Gwalior. After Scindia Sr’s death in
2001, it was allotted to Jyotiraditya, who retained the house thanks to a 2002 bypoll win followed by three consecutive Lok Sabha poll victories. Union HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal is likely to be the new occupant.
