The Lebua Hotels & Resorts, Bangkok, attempts to bring the city's finest dining and drinking options under one roof

Soaring 820 feet above ground, and overlooking the Chao Phraya river, Bangkok’s iconic all-suite hotel, Lebua Hotels & Resorts, that is home to Sky Bar and Mezzaluna stands tall. Absolutely everything about the brand screams luxury. What works in its favour is the combination of fine aesthetics and a cool vibe that attracts leisure travellers looking to live it up. While travellers to Bangkok are spoilt for choice when it comes to exceptional food, there are limited options for the gourmet traveller and that’s where Lebua comes in. While many hotels in Bangkok serve Michelin-quality food, it is rare to find a space where more than one fine dine option exists. At Lebua, one is spoilt for choice. Mezzaluna—a 2-Michelin-star restaurant on the 65th floor of Lebua—is the highest restaurant in Bangkok and finds favour with those who want to take a break from Asian food. You also have Chef ’s Table, a destination for stellar French cuisine helmed by chef Vincent Thierry who has three Michelin stars to his credit and is respected for his take on authentic French food presented in a contemporary manner. He was responsible for setting up Caprice in Hong Kong in 2005, for which he won his Michelin stars. Food aside, it is easy to hit a high note here. The Sky Bar, Bangkok’s highest rooftop bar, also made famous by The Hangover 2, is one of the many bars that Lebua houses and is a ‘must try’ experience. The hotel’s collection of bars include Flûte, a Perrier-Jouët Bar, the world’s highest alfresco champagne bar, the Alfresco 64 A Chivas Bar, that takes whisky drinking to new heights, Distil with its impressive range of unique liquors, and Pink Bar, known to serve Comptes de Dampierre in its dramatic but elegant Hollywood-like setting. Lebua’s family of groundbreaking designer bars and restaurants has, undoubtedly, elevated the level of global drinking and dining in Bangkok and is likely to become one of the most coveted spots for gourmands looking for a unique dining experience while on vacation.

“There are many horizontal destinations in the world. Clarke Quay in Singapore, Rodeo Drive, Soho, and there are many tall structures. But no one has been able to put these ideas together to create everything we have under one roof” Deepak Ohri, CEO of Lebua Hotels & Resorts The view from the Sky Bar is one of the finest in the city
