In terms of the percentage of villages connected under PMGSY, this district ranked #1—the total number of villages connected under this scheme increased from 336 in 2011-12 to 942 in 2017-18, which is an almost 180 per cent spike over a period of six years. The percentage of households with electricity connections increased by 30 per cent—the district ranked #2 in this parameter
