With his early paintings of villages and cities on display, this exhibition tells the story of how Raza moved from realism to metaphysical abstraction, becoming in the process India’s modernist superstar.

Ganesh Pyne favoured watercolours before he took to tempera, a medium that made luminous his beautiful gloom. Helping us trace his transitions, this display collects his drawings and paintings.

NOTES FROM A CITY UNKNOWN by Seher Shah NATURE MORTE (Until May 29)

Even though Shah uses different mediums—drawings, prints, largescale sculptural installation—all her quiet and inward-looking exhibits here have two themes in common: fragility and fragmentation.
