WELCOME RELIEF

More than three years after he became Andhra Pradesh CM, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has been exempted by the Telangana High Court from making a personal appearance in the CBI court in Hyderabad. He was required to show up for the trial on the 11 chargesheets in which he is the prime accused. However, he must appear before the trial court whenever it mandates his presence, the HC ruled, saying they were just allegations against him at this stage. It took 10 years just to frame the charges.
