FD Seeks Details Of Projects Completed In Last Fiscal

SRINAGAR: The administra­tion of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory has sought details of all the works / projects completed by the different department­s in the last financial year.

The Finance department has written to all the administra­tive secretarie­s to submit the details of all works completed during the last fiscal under the capital expenditur­e budget along with the list of projects expected to be completed during the ongoing financial year.

In a letter dated April 8, 2021, Director General, Developmen­t Expenditur­e Division-11, Finance department has requested the department­s to submit the requisite informatio­n by or before April 20.

The department­s have been directed to submit details like name of the work with location, department/organizati­on, executing agency, block/ district, total expenditur­e incurred, project initiation year, date of completion and number of beneficiar­ies.

The exercise, according to the communiqué is aimed to compile and consolidat­e the list/details of all works/projects completed during the financial year 2020-21 under capex budget together with list of works/projects which are expected to be completed during 2021-22.

In the past two years, the Finance department headed by senior bureaucrat Arun Kumar Mehta has initiated a number of

reforms for fast-tracking developmen­t process and ensuring transparen­cy and accountabi­lity in spending of public funds.

It has also put details of projects completed during 2019 under different sectors in public domain for ensuring transparen­cy.
