Globally Rising Temperatures

- Gousia Mir

Through your esteemed newspaper, I would like to spread awareness regarding global warming. Every part of the world is going through the phenomenon of global warming. The World Health Organization (WHO), Meteorological Departments and Scientific Research centers are conducting new surveys on global warming . According to them, global warming is more deadly than any world war.

The most crucial effects of global warming are seen on people’s health therefore creating health hazards throughout the globe. The depletion of the Ozone layer is raising the temperature in all parts of the world. What we are experiencing right now is the wrath of global warming upon us. We are significantly witnessing harsher summers in our valley, which used to remain pleasant throughout the summer months. We are witnessing the rapid and crucial increase in temperature infront of our eyes, everyday but we tend to ignore this phenomenon, but what we do not understand is how much more devastatingly this can impact us in the future.

To control global warming, people first have to recognise the magnitude of the problem, people should be more aware of the consequences of climate change. Consumption of fuel should be reduced to minimum. Road traffic in big cities should be reduced through car pools, and metro trains and electricity operated vehicles. We should emphasise on planting trees instead of carrying out deforestation recklessly. Eco clubs should be set up in every city and necessary precautions should be made mandatory upon the general public.
