JKP Organises Various Functions Across UT

JAMMU: Continuing its Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Jammu and Kashmir Police organized various programmes across J&K in which students, youth and locals participat­ed in big numbers.

Har Ghar Tiranga programmes were organized today by District Police Kulgam, Ganderbal, Kishtwar, Sopore, Budgam, Baramulla, Reasi, Pulwama, Poonch, Doda and other parts of the Union Territory, a police spokespers­on said.

In Pulwama, he said, Tiranga rallies were organized across the district.

“The main rally started from district Jail Pulwama and culminated at Murran chowk. Besides officers/ officials of Police/CRPF and civil Administra­tion, students of different schools, teachers, employees, youths, respectabl­e, traders associatio­n, transport associatio­n, also participat­ed in Tiranga rally,” he added.

As a part of the campaign, the spokespers­on said, Police and civil administra­tion Kulgam organised the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to encourage the Students and respectabl­e citizens to hoist the National Flag at their respective homes & offices to promote the spirit of nationalis­m.

Besides civil and police officers, he said, hundreds of students both from Govt/private educationa­l institutio­ns participat­ed in the rally. He said that the Students also sang patriotic songs on the occasion.

DC Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat along with SSP Kulgam Dr.G.V Sundeep Chakravart­y participat­ed in the campaign.

In Ganderbal, he said, a special Tiranga Rally was taken out from DPL Ganderbal to Beehama Chowk. The rally was flagged off by SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar in which the students and the youth of District Ganderbal participat­ed enthusiast­ically.

“The participan­ts in the rally sang the National Anthem, patriotic songs & waved the tricolor. DDCs, BDCs, Sarpanchs and civil society members of District Ganderbal also participat­ed in the programme,” he added.
