Sopore Law College Organizes Screening Of ‘Article 15’
SRINAGAR: The Sopore Law College organized a special screening of the thought-provoking film ‘Article 15’ under the esteemed chairmanship of Madam Maryam, a distinguished personality in the legal fraternity.
The event, organized on Thursday, was aimed to promote awareness about social justice issues prevalent in our society and foster meaningful discussions among the law students and faculty members.
‘Article 15’ is a hard-hitting Indian crime drama, directed by Anubhav Sinha, starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role.
The film delves into the stark realities of caste discrimination and social inequality that persist in contemporary India.
With its powerful narrative and compelling performances, the movie has garnered widespread acclaim and initiated important conversations about the pressing need for societal change.
The screening event took place in the seminar Hall of the Sopore Law College, and it commenced with a brief introduction by the administrative officer Ms. Ulfat of the college followed by a brief introduction about the film by Maroof and Ms. Sauliha. The film was then screened to captivated viewers, who were deeply moved by its portrayal of the harsh realities faced by marginalized communities.
Following the screening, a panel discussion was held, featuring faculty members, and students covering wide range of topics, including the legal framework for combating discrimination, the role of law students in promoting social justice, and the potential impact of cinema on societal change.
