AAP-BJP ‘Signature’ war on over credit
THE Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) called the disruption caused by Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari’s insistence to attend the inauguration of Signature Bridge on Sunday a “pre-planned conspiracy” and demanded the intervention of Union home minister Rajnath Singh.
The AAP also demanded Tiwari’s arrest on Monday.
“BJP MP Manoj Tiwari and his goons damaged Delhi government property, threw water bottles at Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, and resorted to violence at the programme. He should be arrested for this and Rajnath Singh, being the home minister, should intervene,” said AAP’s (North-East Lok Sabha seat in-charge) Dilip Pandey.
The AAP defended Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan after the BJP alleged that he was threatening Tiwari. However, Tiwari counteralleged that he was heckled, pushed and threatened by AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and AAP workers during the event. He plans to file an FIR.
