The Reine de Naples line harks back to the first wristwatch created by A-L Breguet, the celebrated founder of brand Breguet, for his eminent client, Caroline Murat, the Queen of Naples, in 1810. Among the latest to join the family and cast its inimitable spell on present -day queens, fashionistas and divas alike is the new Reine de Naples Princesse 8965, which takes after references 8968—two earlier models with silvered gold or anthracite dials—with a bejewelled avatar. An epitome of femininity and boldness, the Reine de Naples Princesse 8965 draws on the allure of jewels and the inherent grace and design aesthetics of the Reine de Naples line to reassert the creative genius of brand Breguet. Its subtly cambered rose gold oval case, contrasted with resolute geometric lines on an engineturned dial, offers a new, fascinating dimension to the indication of time. Mimicking the gentle curve of the case, the white mother-ofpearl dial curves also, creating an impression of depth, highlighting the large rose gold hourmarkers at 6 and 12 o’clock. Scoring high on the luxury quotient, the bezel and the ball-type rounded lug at the base of the case flaunt diamonds, while a mechanical self-winding movement (Calibre 591C) underscores superior functionality. The Reine de Naples Princesse 8965 comes in options of alligator leather strap (with a gold folding clasp set with 29 brilliant-cut diamonds) or rose gold bracelet set with 104 brilliant-cut diamonds.
