GOV­ERN­MENT OF RA­JASTHAN, SAAT SAATH ARTS AND COR­PO­RATE SPON­SORS COME TO­GETHER TO TRANS­FORM JAIPUR’S MADHAVENDRA PALACE INTO IN­DIA’S FIRST CON­TEM­PO­RARY SCULP­TURE PARK

In a unique col­lab­o­ra­tion, the Gov­ern­ment of Ra­jasthan, Saat Saath Arts (a pri­vate foun­da­tion, founded and headed by Apara­jita Jain) and a num­ber of cor­po­rate spon­sors have come to­gether to trans­form Madhavendra Palace, Na­har­garh Fort, Jaipur, into In­dia’s first con­tem­po­rary sculp­ture park. The ini­tia­tive has turned the Madhavendra Palace into an art gallery with sculp­tures by top In­dian and in­ter­na­tional artists, cu­rated by Peter Nagy, who is the di­rec­tor of Na­ture Morte Art Ltd. ‘ The Sculp­ture Park’ was for­mally launched by the Hon­ourable Chief Min­is­ter of Ra­jasthan, Smt Va­sund­hara Raje Scin­dia, re­cently. The Na­har­garh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, over­look­ing the city of Jaipur.
