With its minimalist dial, the Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique gives brand Breguet’s greatest invention, the tourbillion, a prominently beautiful interpretation. The very first number from the iconic watchmaker’s Grandes Complications collection to be graced with a “Grand Feu” enamel dial, the Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique stands out for its highly visible tourbillion, thanks to the graphic hand-bevelled tourbillon bar, topped by a spinel that has been used to further its attention-drawing capability and appeal. Harking back to the times of the brand’s iconic founder A -L Breguet, who revelled in reinterpreting the traditional watch-making aesthetic conventions of his time, the Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique features an off-centred chapter ring with Arabic numerals, while traditional blue Breguet hands strikingly contrast with the pristine whiteness of the dial.
Among the watch’s other noteworthy attributes include a sleek rose gold case, decoratively hand-engraved bridges, barrel and oscillating weight, the Calibre 581 and an 80-hour power reserve, which has been made possible by means of a “high-energy” barrel. The model is available in rose gold and platinum versions.
