CONQUERING THE SEAS
Celebrity watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet’s brilliant contributions to the world of horology have endowed brand Breguet with not just a legacy of crafting some of history’s most iconic watches, but also an innovative spirit that is worthy of its legendary founder. During his time, Abraham-Louis Breguet was honoured with some of the highest distinctions in his of chronometer maker to the French Royal Navy. In the wake of this unique heritage, Breguet launched the Marine Équation Marchante last year to widespread acclaim and adulation. Endowed with the graphic codes of the new-generation marine models presented last year, this year the brand has launched the Breguet Marine Chronographe 5527 in several versions, among which is this stunning white gold 42.3 mm piece that features a white gold case, contrasted with a blue dial in gold, with a wave-motif engine-turned pattern that echoes the collection’s origins. While the indication of time happens by means of a central chronograph hand, sub-dials at 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock represent the minute, hour and small seconds counters respectively. The Marine Chronographe 5527 is alternatively available in rose gold with a silvered gold dial and in titanium with a sunburst slate grey dial in gold.
