GIVE YOUR HEART TO HEART
We are sensitising again all stakeholders of all national and global ecosystems about biggest threat to demographic dividends irrespective of populations size. CVD globally costs 18 millions lives annually and prematurely. Low and middle income countries are worst hit as they account for around 75% CVD deaths that also depletes skilled and productive human resources. CVD is assuming increasing significance and turning out to be medical emergency as receding Covid has silently started manifesting into long Covid and we are not sure about its potential fatalities. World Health Day gives us another chance to review and ponder over the approach and mechanism to collectively deal with utmost urgency. Against such silent killer collective global synergistic approach and shared clinical resources would strengthen our resolve to decimate the menace in time bound manner. Primary screening of populations may lead to more understanding of ground zero situation of CVD incidences and resources required for. Post Covid diagnostics extensive outreach, economy of scale and supply chain logistics would facilitate easy screening. Though it would involve massive cost but could be leveraged while including all NCDS into screening. More over this investment could be paired with infrastructural one in the sense that it would be stimulus boost to Indian diagnostics, and consequently whole healthcare and Medtech. Preventive Policy adminstration is better than Reactive Policy implementation. The learning from pandeonomics (economics of pandemic) is not over !
