For 25 years, across 11 hospitals boasting over 2500 operational beds, with a team of over 600 doctors catering to approximately 20 Lac patients, the Metro Group's journey has epitomized the delivery of advanced healthcare services in the most cost-effective manner. Driven by the vision to make healthcare accessible to the common man in India, Dr. Purshotam Lal, Chairman of Metro Group of Hospitals and recipient of prestigious awards - Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, and Dr. BC Roy National Award, founded the group in 1997.
Renowned as the Father of Interventional Cardiology in India, Dr. Lal pioneered & introduced over 20 procedures in the field of Interventional Cardiology for the first time in the country, changing the way heart treatment is done in the country. His accolades include multiple awards from the President of India, and has been named in the Limca Book of Records for performing largest number of stenting as single operator.
The most decorated cardiologist in the country, Dr. Lal's commitment to upholding the highest standards of medical excellence, service quality, and patient care has solidified Metro Group's reputation as one of the most trusted names in healthcare, particularly in North India. Yes, Metro Hospitals extends its services to patients from countries beyond India, welcoming a diverse international clientele. Our hospitals provide a comprehensive range of medical services to global patients, covering critical areas such as Kidney Transplant, Liver Transplant, Heart Surgery, Cancer Treatment, Brain
& Spine Surgery, Orthopaedics, and more.
To facilitate a seamless experience for our international patients, we have established a dedicated international patient services team. This team is committed to ensuring that the treatment process is hassle-free for patients from around the world. Our aim is to bring our healthcare services even closer to our international patients by expanding our reach. We have recently added medical centers in Cambodia and Oman, making it more convenient for patients to access our services right in their own city or country. Pioneering Medical Procedures:
• In 2001, performed India’s first case of heart hole closure without surgery (VSD Closure) in a patient with a heart attack.
• In 2003, performed the world’s first Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) with Core Valve.
• In 2016, performed the world’s first case of Venibri TAVI + Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) of the main artery.
• In 2022, conducted Faridabad’s first Liver Transplant.
• Launched North India’s first and only Truebeam with Hyper Arc in 2022.
• In 2023, performed Faridabad’s first Mechanical Thrombectomy.
• Used Uttar Pradesh’s first Anaconda Graft in a patient in 2023.
• Established Faridabad’s first and only MUD Transplant facility.
Achieving Excellence:
• Conducting over 1000 dialysis procedures monthly at the Noida unit and over 2000 dialysis procedures at the Faridabad unit, achieving the highest numbers in the region.
• Successful preservation of hundreds of kidneys from renal cancer and kidney tumors without removal or damage.
• Accomplishing over 350 kidney transplants POST-COVID in a brief two-year period at the Kidney Transplant Department, Metro Hospital, Faridabad.

• Secured the Government of Uttar Pradesh's approval to establish Metro University, a prestigious institution scheduled to commence operations in July 2024. The university will be situated on a sprawling 50-acre campus in Noida Extension, Greater Noida.
Global Expansion:
• Actively expanding globally through the acquisition of medical centers, with recent additions in Cambodia and Oman.
Hospitals Expansion:
• Currently operating ten hospitals, with two more in the pipeline (at Moga & Vadodra).
• Focus on transparency and commitment to ethical standards as a cornerstone of strength.
Service Upgrades and Facility Expansion:
