The Oberoi Gurgaon voted ‘World’s Leading Luxury Hotel’

The Oberoi, Gurgaon was recently voted as the World’s Leading Luxury Hotel, 2011 at the World Travel Awards, that was held Doha, Qatar. The award was announced in a grand gala ceremony.

The Oberoi, Gurgaon, which opened in April, 2011, is spread over nine-acre and features serene water bodies, a forested driveway and landscaped greens. The 202 rooms and suites of The Oberoi, Gurgaon are amongst the largest for city hotels around the world. Other unique features include luxurious suites with private heated pools, city’s first 24-hour spa and an exclusive cigar lounge.

The Oberoi, Gurgaon has 18,000 sq ft of space dedicated to meetings and conference­s. The hotel has outdoor space for events at the edge of its unique water body, which can be seen awash with coloured lights, to a be a near perfect backdrop for events. The belvedere, an exclusive business club, includes a lounge and meeting rooms.

The World Travel Awards is believed to be the ‘Oscars’ of the travel and tourism industry and it is recognised by the travel, tourism and hospitalit­y industry as the foremost acknowledg­ement of excellence in product and service.
