Radisson Blu Copenhagen presents Brain Food for meetings
Brain Food, a concept developed by Radisson Blu Copenhagen for meetings and conferences, is meant to help maintain the concentration level of all the delegates, through events. The concept has been launched in Denmark, Norway and Sweden; and Finland is just around the corner.
It is all about serving food that keeps blood sugar level stable and supplies optimal nutrition for the brain, providing benefits for both delegates and meeting organisers alike.
Research has shown that eating the right food at the right time improves our ability to learn and concentrate, promotes quicker reactions and lowers stress levels – all factors that can impact on the quality of a meeting. For example, during exhaustive meetings and conferences, delegates often experience a ‘sugar crash’ after lunch which can be temporarily resolved by placing a bowl of sweets on the table.
Brain Food was developed with inputs from nutritional experts and the skilled chefs of Radisson Blu Copenhagen. Together they have created a menu that follows the six brain food principles. That include: 1. More fish, whole grains, eggs, fruits and vegetables 2. Primarily, local and fresh ingredients 3. Clean raw materials with minimal industrial processing 4. Less meat and always fat content of maximum 10 per cent 5. Naturally sweetened and never more than 10 per cent added sugar 6. Focus on quality and taste sensations that sharpens the senses
With the introduction of Brain Food Radisson Blu Copenhagen launched a SmartPhone application which is available for download via the QR. This includes recipes for Brain Food, interviews with nutrition experts and information about the six principles. Each month it also launched 10 new recipes. In addition, the 420-room CNCC Grand Hotel, adjacent to CNCC, will support the initiative with favorable ‘Ticket + Hotel’ packages.
